Vivo V80 Lite 5G Launched in Bangladesh with Curved AMOLED Display, 7,050mAh Battery

DHAKA — Smartphone maker Vivo has launched the Vivo V80 Lite 5G in Bangladesh, introducing a curved AMOLED display, a redesigned horizontal camera layout and a large 7,050mAh battery.

The new smartphone expands Vivo’s lineup in Bangladesh’s increasingly competitive 5G handset market, with the company highlighting its display technology, battery capacity, camera features and durability ratings.

According to Vivo, the V80 Lite 5G combines a slim design with hardware intended to support entertainment, photography, gaming and everyday smartphone use.

6.83-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, designed to provide smoother scrolling, animations and visual performance.

The display also offers up to 2,000 nits of high-brightness mode output, according to the company. Higher brightness levels can improve screen visibility in bright outdoor conditions.

AMOLED displays are widely used in premium and midrange smartphones because of their ability to produce deep blacks, strong contrast and vibrant colors.

The large screen and high refresh rate position the V80 Lite 5G as a device aimed at users who consume videos, play mobile games and spend significant time browsing social media and other applications.

Vivo introduces new Skyline Camera design

One of the key design changes highlighted by Vivo is its new Skyline Camera design.

The V80 Lite 5G uses a horizontal camera arrangement on the rear of the device, departing from some of the more conventional circular or vertically arranged camera modules used on smartphones.

Vivo said the design also includes a light-reflecting finish intended to give the handset a distinctive appearance.

The smartphone will be available in two color options: Silk White and Sapphire Blue.

The company has increasingly emphasized smartphone design alongside technical specifications as manufacturers compete for consumers in Bangladesh’s growing mobile phone market.

MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor powers the device

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is powered by a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor.

The handset comes with 8GB of RAM and also supports Vivo’s Extended RAM technology, which uses available storage to supplement memory for certain tasks.

Vivo said the smartphone has been optimized to maintain smooth performance for more than 50 months, though actual long-term performance can vary depending on software updates, usage patterns, storage capacity and other factors.

The 4nm processor is designed to offer improved power efficiency compared with older chip manufacturing processes, helping balance performance and battery consumption.

With 5G connectivity and an octa-core processor, the device is intended to support everyday activities including web browsing, video streaming, social media, photography and multitasking.

32MP front camera and 50MP Sony rear camera

Photography is another major focus of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G.

The smartphone features a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, which Vivo says is designed to support group selfies and portrait photography.

On the rear, the handset includes a 50-megapixel Sony camera.

The camera system also features Clear Night Portrait mode, which Vivo says is designed to improve details when taking portraits in low-light environments.

Low-light photography remains an important area of competition among smartphone manufacturers, with companies increasingly relying on larger sensors, image processing and artificial intelligence-based features to improve image quality in challenging lighting conditions.

Vivo said the camera features on the V80 Lite 5G are intended to provide users with greater flexibility when taking portraits, selfies and photographs at night.

Large 7,050mAh BlueVolt battery

One of the V80 Lite 5G’s most notable specifications is its 7,050mAh BlueVolt battery.

The large battery capacity is intended to support extended use between charges, particularly for users who frequently stream videos, play games, use mobile data or rely heavily on their smartphones throughout the day.

Battery life can vary depending on factors including screen brightness, network conditions, applications and overall usage.

The combination of a large battery and a power-efficient 4nm processor is expected to be one of the device’s key selling points in Bangladesh, where consumers often prioritize long battery life when choosing a smartphone.

IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, according to the company.

These ratings indicate protection against dust and water exposure under specified testing conditions.

However, water and dust resistance ratings do not necessarily mean a smartphone is completely immune to damage in all situations, and the level of protection depends on the conditions under which the device is used.

The inclusion of both ratings adds an additional durability feature to the handset and reflects the growing trend of manufacturers offering higher levels of environmental protection in smartphones.

Vivo expands its 5G smartphone lineup in Bangladesh

With the launch of the V80 Lite 5G, Vivo is adding another device to Bangladesh’s expanding market for 5G smartphones.

The handset combines a large 6.83-inch curved AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor, 32MP and 50MP cameras, and a 7,050mAh battery.

Its new Skyline Camera design and IP68 and IP69 ratings are also among the features Vivo is emphasizing.

The company has not provided pricing information in the material provided. Details about the phone’s price, availability and sales channels in Bangladesh are expected to determine how the device competes in the country’s increasingly crowded smartphone market.
