Apple Siri Settlement Opens Claims for Eligible iPhone Owners
Apple has opened claims in its $250 million Siri settlement. Find out which iPhone owners qualify, how much they could receive and the Dec. 21 deadline.
Apple is paying $250 million to settle a class-action lawsuit alleging it failed to deliver promised artificial intelligence features for Siri, and eligible iPhone owners can now file claims for a share of the settlement.
The settlement applies to U.S. residents who purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or any iPhone 16 model between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, according to the settlement website and MacRumors.
Claimants are expected to receive about $25 per eligible device, although payments could reach $95 depending on the number of valid claims filed. Claims must be submitted by Dec. 21, 2026, and require a name, contact information, and the iPhone’s serial number.
The lawsuit alleged that Apple created a “clear and reasonable consumer expectation” that AI features previewed at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2024 would launch with the iPhone 16. The phones instead debuted with a more limited set of Apple Intelligence features.
Apple later delayed the upgraded Siri, which was eventually released with iOS 27 this month. Apple has denied wrongdoing as part of the settlement.
