Abhishek Sharma 35-Ball Century Ton Crushes New Zealand as India Seal T20I Series

Abhishek Sharma produced a breathtaking batting display, smashing a century off just 35 balls as India defeated New Zealand by six wickets in the third T20I to clinch the five-match series with three games remaining.
Chasing a target of 199, India reached 199-4 in just 13.2 overs, completing a dominant victory after New Zealand had posted 198-3 in their allotted 20 overs.
Sharma led India’s charge with an explosive 113 off 38 deliveries, striking nine fours and 11 sixes. He found an aggressive partner in Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who contributed 45 from 19 balls as the pair added 133 runs for the opening wicket.
Suryavanshi’s dismissal did little to slow India’s momentum. Sharma continued to attack the New Zealand bowlers before departing after completing his fourth T20I century, according to the match figures provided.
Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir then guided India across the finish line. Kyle Jamieson claimed two wickets for New Zealand, while Mitchell Santner and Matthew Fisher took one apiece.
Earlier, New Zealand made a slow start after being sent in to bat. Tim Seifert fell for two off six balls, but Finn Allen and Daryl Mitchell rebuilt the innings with an 86-run partnership.
Allen scored 40 off 25 deliveries before being dismissed, while Glenn Phillips added 17 from 14 balls. Mitchell kept the innings moving and found valuable support from Bevon Jacobs in the closing stages.
The pair shared an unbeaten 75-run stand. Jacobs finished on 39 off 23 balls, while Mitchell remained unbeaten on 89 from 52 deliveries.
For India, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket each.
