NEW DELHI: The ICC chairman Greg Barclay used to be all in reward of the inaugural Women’s Premier League as he praised the BCCI’s super efforts in making the event a grand luck.
The 5-team event which started on March 4 could have its ultimate on Sunday and Barclay praised secretary Jai Shah and his workforce for main the way in which when it comes to getting the ladies’s recreation to the place it must be.
Barclay mentioned the league would assist uplift the ladies’s recreation, due to the professionalism and cash concerned.
“… As I say, I think it will be a great uplift for the women’s game and I am looking forward to see how this tournament plays out,” Barcley advised the BCCI.
“Now, there is no reason for the two parts of the game, men and women, to be viewed as different. This is people playing cricket and they should be treated equally.
“Secondly, the professionalism and the remuneration this is afforded the avid gamers. I believe that is one thing that is going to be actually essential, once more, for the ladies’s recreation,” he added.
The Women’s Premier League, which was a long time coming, finally began on March 4 this year amid much fanfare.
“I believe if the powerhouse that India is when it comes to cricket, it is suitable that they’ve introduced the Women’s Premier League.
