At the M Chinnaswamy stadium on Sunday night time, Topley, whilst making an attempt to chop a run off spinner Karn Sharma’s bowling within the 8th over, fell awkwardly on his proper shoulder and was once left writhing in ache. It was once later showed that the 29-year-old had dislocated his shoulder.
Mike Hesson, RCB’s director of cricket operations, mentioned: “Unfortunately, Topley’s knee dug into the bottom after which he clearly landed on his shoulder and dislocated it. It was once fortunate sufficient that we had been ready to pop it again in.”
While Topley has traveled to Kolkata with the team for Thursday’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders, he is unlikely to take the field. He underwent a scan here on Sunday and RCB yet to reveal the extent of the injury.
This is a fresh blow for the England cricketer, whose career has been plagued by injuries. A series of stress fractures saw him in and out of the England team following his international debut in 2015. Last year, Topley was ruled out of the T20 World Cup on the eve of England’s warm-up match against Pakistan after sustaining a ligament injury in his left ankle.

Topley’s harm is any other setback for RCB after their new recruit Will Jacks was once dominated out of the contest because of harm. Also sidelined are their mainstay pacer Josh Hazlewood (Achilles) and rising batter Rajat Patidar (heal) with out a date set for his or her go back.
