Gold price in Bangladesh today, Bangladesh Gold Price Falls Again as 22-Carat Rate Drops to Tk 232,930 per Bhori

DHAKA, Sept. 26 — Gold and silver prices have fallen in Bangladesh following a decline in international bullion prices, jewelers said.
The new prices took effect at 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the Bangladesh jewelry trade.
The price of 22-carat gold, including value-added tax, was cut by 1,691 taka per bhori (11.664 grams) to 232,930 taka.
The price of 21-carat gold fell by 1,574 taka to 222,490 taka per bhori, while 18-carat gold dropped by 1,301 taka to 191,096 taka. Gold sold under the traditional method was reduced by 1,108 taka to 156,064 taka per bhori.
The latest reduction follows an increase on Sept. 19, when the price of 22-carat gold was raised by 1,691 taka to 234,621 taka per bhori. Prices of 21-carat, 18-carat and traditional-method gold were also increased at the time.
Silver prices also reduced
Silver prices have also been lowered in the domestic market.
The price of 22-carat silver, including VAT, was reduced by 292 taka to 4,840 taka per bhori. The price of 21-carat silver fell by 350 taka to 4,607 taka, while 18-carat silver dropped by 291 taka to 3,966 taka.
Silver sold under the traditional method was reduced by 175 taka to 3,032 taka per bhori.
117 gold price adjustments this year
According to jewelers, gold prices in Bangladesh have been adjusted 117 times so far this year. Prices have increased on 58 occasions and decreased 59 times.
In 2025, gold prices were adjusted 93 times, with 64 increases and 29 reductions.
The country’s record-high gold price was set on Jan. 29, when the price of 22-carat gold was increased by 16,213 taka to 286,001 taka per bhori.
