Chelsea Handler Targets Tony Hinchcliffe During Netflix Roast of Kevin Hart
Comedian Chelsea Handler launched a series of pointed jokes at fellow comedian Tony Hinchcliffe during Netflix’s live Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday night. Her comments quickly became one of the event’s most memorable and discussed moments.
Handler specifically targeted Hinchcliffe, who is well-known for his public backing of Donald Trump, with a series of sarcastic and cutting remarks.
She began by joking that Hinchcliffe was “what happens when women don’t have access to safe abortion care.” This comment sparked immediate reaction from the audience.

She then moved on to mock Hinchcliffe’s appearance and stage presence, saying he looked like “a school shooter” with “the personality of someone who gets shot first.”
The audience laughed as cameras captured Hinchcliffe’s calm and restrained reaction to the punchlines.Later in her performance, Handler returned to the topic of Hinchcliffe’s appearance, making a joke about his bright smile and suggesting he used “Crest White Supremacist Strips,” a reference to his MAGA-aligned image.
The roast continued with Handler making a joke linking Hinchcliffe to podcast host Joe Rogan. She asked, “Who’s keeping Joe Rogan’s balls warm while he’s at the event?” Rogan and Hinchcliffe have been close friends for years, often appearing on each other’s podcasts. Hinchcliffe also co-hosts the popular podcast Kill Tony with Brian Redban.
Handler also criticized comedians who took part in the 2025 Riyadh Comedy Festival in Saudi Arabia, highlighting concerns about the country’s human rights record. She alluded to comics who claim to be politically active in the U.S. but still accepted invitations to perform in Saudi Arabia.
Several high-profile comedians, including Pete Davidson, Jeff Ross, and Kevin Hart, attended the festival earlier this year. Human rights groups criticized the event due to Saudi Arabia’s history of censorship and alleged human rights abuses.
During his own segment, Hinchcliffe responded to Handler’s comments by calling her “cold, frigid,” maintaining the night’s intense and confrontational atmosphere.

Hinchcliffe has been a source of controversy with his comedy, particularly with his performance at a 2024 Trump campaign rally at Madison Square Garden, where he made offensive jokes about Puerto Rico and Latino immigrants.
These comments drew backlash from both Republicans and Democrats, leading Trump to publicly distance himself from the comedian afterward.
In a later interview with Bill Maher, Hinchcliffe explained that he attended the rally because he strongly supported Trump’s campaign and hoped to influence voters.
Despite the controversy surrounding his political stand-up, Hinchcliffe later secured a Netflix deal, which helped boost his profile in the comedy world.

Netflix streamed The Roast of Kevin Hart live on Sunday, featuring appearances from several comedians and celebrities. A surprise cameo by former NFL quarterback Tom Brady added to the event’s appeal, as Brady had previously hosted his own Netflix roast.
