PF Website Cyber Attack: The account information of more than 28 crore account holders of Provident Fund (PF) has been leaked. According to the report, this hacking of PF website happened earlier this month. Bob Diachenko, a cyber security researcher from Ukraine has given this information. Bob has given information about this hacking through a LinkedIn post on August 1, 2022. According to the report, this data leak includes UAN number, name, marital status, complete details of Aadhar card, gender and complete bank account information. According to Diachenko, this data has been leaked from two different IP addresses. Both of these IPs were connected to Microsoft’s Azure cloud.
280,472,941 data leaks from the first IP address and 8,390,524 data from the second IP address have been reported. So far the hacker to whom this data has reached has not been identified. Apart from this, no information about DNS server has been found yet.
Hackers can misuse the data
Till now the information has not been disclosed that since when the data of 28 crore users is available online. Let us tell you, hackers can also use these data in a wrong way. Fake profiles of people can also be created on the basis of hacked information. Bob Diachenko has also given information about this data leak to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In). After receiving the report, CERT-IN has updated the researcher through e-mail. CERT-IN has said that both the IP addresses have been banned within 12 hours. Apart from this, no agency or hacker has taken the responsibility of this hacking yet.
