NEW DELHI: After the sports activities ministry termed Wrestling Federation of India’s (WFI) proposed elections on May 7 as “null and void” and requested Indian Olympic Association to represent an ad-hoc committee to run the day by day affairs of the WFI, IOA President PT Usha got here into motion and determined to carry its Executive Council assembly on Thursday to search for “actionable solutions” to finish the present deadlock within the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
As consistent with the federal government directive, the ad-hoc panel may also arrange day by day affairs of the WFI until the sports activities frame will get a recent Executive Committee.
“In light of the letter received from GoI-MYAS, IOA undertakes the urgency of the matter. Our scheduled EC meet on 27 April will discuss & provide actionable solutions to the current impasse in WFI. IOA is committed to the betterment of our sportspersons & its sporting ecosystem,” Usha tweeted.
