New Delhi, Aug 8 (PTI) The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) on Monday stated that Tata Communications underreported its gross source of revenue throughout the monetary years 2006-07 to 2017-18, leaving the federal government at Rs 645 crore as license charge. According to the CAG report, “Profit and Loss Statement and Bookkeeping in appreciate of NLD (National Long Distance), ILD (International Long Distance) and ISP (Internet Service Provider)-IT License from 2006-07 to 2017-18 Audit of the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) main points throughout the duration printed that gross income under-reported to the level of Rs 13,252.81 crore. This resulted in a discount of Rs 950.25 crore as license charge.
According to the CAG, the DoT levied a charge of best Rs 305.25 crore in this corporate.
“Even after deducting the license fee of Rs 305.25 crore by the Department of Telecom, the license fee remains at Rs 645 crore,” the record stated. This quantity must be recovered from the corporate.
