The Union Minister informed that except Mumbai and Pune, the Value Added Tax (VAT) on Aircraft Fuel (ATF) was 4 per cent. In both these cities it was 25 percent.
Scindia said, “I had requested the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray to bring down VAT on ATF to one percent, but no progress was made. I will now request Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to reduce VAT at the earliest.
