Addressing the Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, Reddy said that his government is paying special attention to reforms in agriculture and education sector. He also gave detailed information about this in the meeting.
According to a release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, Reddy said in the meeting of the Governing Council, “After the bifurcation of the state within the 12 months 2014, Andhra Pradesh has grow to be an absolutely agricultural state. 62 p.c of the state’s inhabitants relies on agriculture. He said that the State Government is using digital technology extensively to monitor the procurement of agricultural produce. Apart from this, the state government is also paying attention to natural and organic agriculture, crop swap and cultivation of coarse cereals.
During this, the Chief Minister also mentioned about the initiatives taken for reforms in the education sector in Andhra Pradesh and said that keeping in mind the importance of good education in eradicating poverty, these steps have been implemented.
“We will improve over 55,000 colleges in 3 stages and 15,715 colleges had been lined within the first section. This will supply higher finding out atmosphere to the scholars,” he said.
Reddy said that 13 new districts have also been formed in April for decentralization of administration in the state.
