Chouhan expressed this expectation whilst addressing the inaugural rite of the International Telecommunication Union’s Regional Standardization Forum (RSF) for the Asia and Oceania area.
He mentioned India can deploy indigenously evolved and manufactured 5G telecom equipment for 5G services and products by way of the top of this 12 months.
He mentioned, “In about a month, 5G mobile services will be started in the country, which will have a positive impact on the development of all sectors. A 6G Technology Innovation Group has also been set up, which is working towards the development of indigenous 6G stack.
Chouhan said that the government is promoting indigenously designed, developed and manufactured advanced telecom technology, and this has led to a strong domestic 5G mobile communication ecosystem in India today.
“We have evolved a fully indigenous 5G ‘check mattress’, which is able to facilitate checking out of 5G community components. We are more likely to have an indigenously evolved and manufactured 5G stack by way of the top of the 12 months to put into effect the 5G community in India.
The minister mentioned that the expansion within the Indian telecom marketplace is because of the marketplace pleasant insurance policies of the Modi govt.
Chouhan mentioned, “We have initiated several structural and procedural reforms in the telecom sector. These reforms have created a very positive and forward looking environment for the telecom industry. As a result, bids worth USD 20 billion (Rs 1.5 lakh crore) were received in the recent 5G spectrum auction in India.
He said Indian engineers have developed a set of 5G standards that will facilitate the spread of 5G networks in rural areas.
