Jailer 2 Box Office: Rajinikanth Starrer Eyes Rs. 400 Crore Opening Weekend After Strong Day 2 Hold
Rajinikanth starrer is projected to cross Rs. 200 crores worldwide in two days, with holiday demand potentially boosting its opening-weekend total.

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is showing a strong hold on its second day, with early box office estimates projecting more than Rs. 75 crore in worldwide collections on Friday.
The film is expected to earn more than Rs. 40 crore in India, representing a drop of about 40% from its opening day, according to early trade estimates. Overseas collections are projected to exceed $4 million for the day.
The combined total would take the film’s worldwide collections past Rs. 200 crore within two days, according to the estimates.
Tamil Nadu, which reportedly underperformed on opening day, has held up better, with collections down by less than 30% on Friday. The film’s Telugu- and Hindi-dubbed versions have also maintained momentum, while Karnataka and Kerala have continued their strong opening-day performance.
The film could collect Rs. 100 crore or more on Saturday and Sunday, based on reported advance bookings. That would put its four-day extended-weekend total above Rs. 400 crore worldwide, or within reach of that milestone.
The Dussehra and Puja holidays on Monday and Tuesday could provide a further boost. If the momentum continues, Jailer 2 could approach Rs. 500 crore worldwide by the end of the holiday period.
That would leave it about Rs. 100 crore short of the original Jailer’s reported worldwide total and Rs. 150 crore behind 2.0, cited in the report as the industry’s highest-grossing film. The original Jailer added nearly Rs. 300 crore after its first six days, according to the report, suggesting further growth remains possible.
The figures are early estimates and remain subject to revision as final box office data emerges.
